EcoGypse Sénégal transforms raw gypsum into premium building materials — powder, board and putty — to build the West Africa of tomorrow.
EcoGypse Sénégal is a 100% Senegalese company established at the heart of the Bargny-Sendou Mineral and Bulk Port. Our mission: create local added value, generate skilled jobs and meet the growing demand for quality construction materials in West Africa.
Construction begins in 2026, with production start planned for Q2 2027.
Strict compliance with Senegalese regulations and international standards.
Finished products meeting the standards of the world's leading manufacturers.
Responsible industrial practices and active environmental commitment.
300,000 tonnes of annual capacity across three complementary production lines.
In addition to the standard BA13 board, EcoGypse Sénégal plans to develop a full range of specialized gypsum boards, becoming available progressively from the start of production (Q2 2027).
| Board Type | Designed For | Selection Consideration |
|---|---|---|
| STDRegular Board | General interior walls and ceilings | Standard dry interior applications |
| MRMoisture Resistant (MR) | Areas requiring improved resistance to moisture | Moisture exposure and project specification |
| FRFire Rated (FR) | Fire-rated wall and ceiling systems | Required fire-resistance assembly |
| FMRFire Moisture Resistant (FMR) | Applications requiring both fire and moisture performance | Combined performance requirements |
| AMMold and Moisture Resistant | Selected moisture- and mold-sensitive applications | Environmental and assembly requirements |
| GAINEGypsum Liner Panel | Shaft wall and specialised drywall systems | System design and fire-resistance requirements |
Final board selection should take into account the complete assembly (framing, insulation, joint treatment), not the board alone. This range will be accompanied by a line of jointing powders, including a fast-setting Premium powder (60-minute set).
Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) are standardized documents (ISO 14025 / EN 15804) used in the construction industry to document a material's life-cycle impact.
EcoGypse Sénégal does not currently hold any EPD certification or environmental label. The information below describes, in full transparency, the natural characteristics of gypsum and the main stages of our manufacturing process — it does not constitute a certified declaration.
